The Quantum Instruments OMICRON QF26 Ring Light for Flash and Video is the first "Chromatically Correct" LED Ring Light for use with both still photography and HDSLR video. Switch from shooting video to shooting stills without changing your equipment. Enjoy beautiful, shadow-less lighting. The OMICRON QF26 utilizes 80--that's right, 80--LED lamps. By using colored LED's, Quantum has filled in the spectral gaps that exist in white LED sources, to provide a more complete and natural light spectrum.
Well-suited for fashion and glamour photography, the QF26 can give you that high fashion look you crave, the one you see in designer ads. It's also great for product and industrial, wedding, and difficult product photography, like that of jewelry and food. Thanks to the QF26, switching between video lights and photo flashes is now a thing of the past. Jump from one type of image capture to the other without having to spend time and effort changing equipment. Capture gorgeous, high-resolution images either way. Use video mode for continuous lighting for movies, call on the flash at any time to grab that still shot you just can't miss--and then switch right back to recording!
The included mounting bracket is designed for use with all popular DSLR cameras, and is adaptable to other still and video cameras, too. When used in conjunction with the Quantum TRIO or Qflash T5d-R, the QF26 light is fully compatible with your Nikon or Canon camera system's TTL or manual flash modes. To shoot in video-only mode, a Qflash or TRIO is not required. The OMICRON is powered by a TURBO 3 or TURBO Blade Rechargeable Battery in video-only mode.
